Instead of buying milk for my coffee, I make oatmilk. It is sooo much cheaper and really easy to make. I use steel cut oats which require them to soak for 20 minutes before blending and straining them, but it is super easy to make oatmilk. Highly recommend trying it! It’s about 1/2 cup of oats to 3-4 cups of water. That’s roughly $1-$2 per gallon instead of the $8 or so cost of buying it at the store! That adds up

This is definitely better than the make your own brown sugar post
I have never thought to make it (but use it all the time). Just take a half cup of oats, soak for 20/30 minutes in 3-4 cups of water and then blend it all up?
Do you eat the oats after ?
Does anyone have any easy recipe for oat milk? I tried it in the past, and just made bad overnight oats.
One thing I do not make my self
I don’t like the slime from home mademoat milk. The branni buy has an enzyme in it to stop that from happening and makes a frothy latte
Last I tried this it didn’t taste good. Does yours taste close to store bought?
Save more money and get yourself transitioned to loving tea instead of coffee. Extremely cheaper than coffee. Has slightly less caffeine but it’ll give you that fix. A box of 100 black tea bags is $2.18 at Walmart. You can dress it up like coffee with sugar and cream or whatever.
milk doesn’t cost $8 a gallon, it’s $3 a gallon. That said… I guess making an inferior product for a dollar less can be a win.
