Have you guys had any luck filling positions with insurance journal? I am trying to find a commission only Salesman, but the issue is when I post on craigslist or local Facebook, I am getting plenty of resumes, but no one with experience. I do not have time to train someone how to develop a pipeline.
And yes, I’m fully This is not ideal for *MOST* agents, but for some, it might be very ideal. The trade-off is I am willing to pay 80% first year commission, 15% 2nd year if the person is experienced, and it could very well turn into salaried long-term position, but I am having a hell of a time figuring out where to post it.
I posted on Insurance Journal and literally have not received anything in a couple of weeks. It’s a $300 posting as well so it’s not something I would prefer to keep doing every month.
Note to Mods, please do not take this down. This is not an ad for a job listing, which is why I’m leaving location and type out, I am simply trying to find out which method I should use to find someone, and I feel like other agency owners would be a great sounding board. Thanks!!
Question to fellow agency owners…

You should probably post this on the pro sub, r/insurancepros
i work ar a carrier. Is that standard approach to sales pay? second year you take 85pct of the commission? I always thought a producer got New Business Commission 100pct and the owner got renewal comission? Does the agency also get the 100pct of profit sharing carriers offer? (or whatever its called these days).
