I'm at 7/5, 8/12, 9/24, so I figured I better cool off a bit. Problem is, I've now gotten addicted to getting new cards as a serious hobby, so I'm getting a bit stir crazy.

So what do you do while you're waiting? I see some of you start chrurning business cards. Unfortunately for you guys, I'm passing my time asking stupid questions on this subreddit.

I've also restorted to PCing cards I don't use into OTHER cards I don't use, purely to get a new card in the mail every few weeks.

Is there a cure for this addiction?

What do you all do while gardening?

Use my points and miles to go out and do and see cool stuff around the world.

Figure out how to target card plans and spend for further adventure.

    2. I can’t really recommend it for most people but if you’re needing to scratch an optimization itch, I found receipt scanning has really started to add up for me. I have made about $100 scanning receipts in less than a full year. My total credit card cash back over this period was probably around $1000 (does not include SUBs), so I actually find this to be a meaningful increase for me. All small numbers of course, but since I enjoy the addiction, I find it worthwhile. The reason I struggle to recommend it for most is that it’s tedious and doesn’t really feel like you’re moving the needle much. Over the course of my current stack (yes, you can scan the same receipt on multiple apps), I end up making about $0.35/receipt. Pitifully small perhaps, but that’s 1% on a $35/purchase, so I keep doing it.

    3. I practice patience. Will be applying to CLIs in 6 months and to new cards next april

Go mad in all honesty. I took a break while traveling for a while but now im back home and got in PUJ for one Amex business card I wanted. If it turns out im in jail for all of them im likely gonna be stuck here at least another two months.

touch grass, talk to another person in real life, read a book. many options exist

    6. Work, post stupid answers on reddit, watch tv, make sweet love to my spouse, ride bikes in the woods, churn bank accounts (I<3 microdeposits), play with my dog. L-i-v-i-n’, man.

Totally get the addiction of finding a new card in the mail each month. If you don’t mind my asking, what cards did you apply to over the past 5 months? Just want an idea on what I can get approved for at 7/24.

Get perpetually deeper into Amex pop up jail by constantly applying for the same card.
