I paid off and closed 2 cards about a month ago, but they're still showing up on my report as being active with the previous balance before I paid it off. All of my other active cards have updated their balance. How long will it take for it to finally update to show they're closed accounts?

Usually takes like 1-2 billing cycles for closed accounts to update properly on your report. The bureaus are slow with this stuff – I had similar issue when I closed card last year and it took almost 2 months to show correct status
You can dispute it with bureaus if it’s been more than 60 days, but for now just wait bit longer since it’s only been month
Technically up to two reporting cycles. It’s usually within a month, but every lender and bureau is different. Absolutely nothing you can do but be patient until then.
