My current line-up is
- Robinhood Gold card
- C1 Savor
- Amazon prime visa
- Amex BCE
- BOFA unlimited Rewards (longest history, so I am keeping)
Quite redundant, but I wanted to add a travel-related CC. I have a big purchase planned, so I was looking to get points for a trip planned next year, but I also just want a card that gets points.
Is the AMEX Gold card good? for food + groceries and booking direct flights.
While RH Gold is a catch-all.
- $300-700 dining
- $200-500 groceries
Was also looking at the C1 Venture to pair with my Savor, but I think it is a Discover card, which I heard isn't accepted in Japan/Asia much, which is where my big purchase is going to be.
Or if there are any other cards better for this situation? will probably close BCE eventually.

Wait C1 Venture is definitely not Discover – it’s on Visa network so you’ll be fine in Japan with that one. Venture X might be better option if you can hit the SUB since you mentioned big purchase coming up.
AMEX Gold could work but with your spending amounts the annual fee might not be worth it compared to what you already got setup. RH Gold already covering lot of ground for you
