    * New benefits: 3% grocery, 3% gas

    * Existing benefits, retained: 1.5% catch-all, no annual fee

      Wait this is actually huge news, my QuickSilver has been sitting in drawer for months since I got better cards but 3% on gas and groceries might make it relevant again

      Moving to Discover network is bit concerning though – acceptance isn’t quite same as Mastercard, especially if you travel outside US much. But for everyday spending this could be pretty solid upgrade

      Wonder if they’re doing this because competition is getting fierce in cashback space

      If that becomes a public offer, that would get gas above a 2%/2x catch-all with Cap1. Nice little boost there, even with the change to Discover network.

      Also allows the 3% grocery earnings to work at Woodman’s, which is debit or Discover only.

      Seems like they’re introducing quite a bit of overlap with Savor…. Leading me to believe that changed to savor are coming

      This is actually a pretty good intro card card now, I’ve been pointing people who don’t want to juggle cards to just 2% catch alls, but this is a serious bump to the QS.

      Outside of the change to Discover network, which could be a negative depending on your use case, that makes the Quicksilver a nice card for those just starting out, IMO.

      Some mild overlap with the Savor, but not too bad.
