Been in SAVE since they put me there. The simulator said I qualify for PAYE so picked that one. My husband and I file married file separately and we have a baby on the way. All things I listed as requested. How do I get denied for something they said I qualify for?

Denied for payment plan StudentAid.gov said I was eligible for?

Wait that’s weird, the simulator and actual application should match up better than that. When I was dealing with immigration paperwork they kept saying one thing online then completely different story when I actually applied

Did you check if there’s some income threshold thing that changed between when you ran simulator and when you applied? Sometimes these government sites have timing issues where the data isn’t synced up properly. Might be worth calling them directly instead of trusting the online stuff

None of it makes sense anymore. I recertified my IDR in time and I still got booted from it on MOHELA, yet on Aidvantage it was renewed without issue. I thought I heard they were planning on phasing out IDR plans. Either way I’d call the loan servicer, if it’s even possible to get a human on the phone with them.

The loan simulator is *incredibly buggy* and has a tendency to tell people they qualify for plans they don’t actually qualify for

When did you borrow your very first federal student loan?

I think I saw in another post that this is a bug in the system. I’m so sorry you re dealing with this.

    5. I can also vouch that I see PAYE as an eligible plan. I checked earlier to start prepping for the transition later this year and was surprised to see it there. They haven’t updated anything.
