Hello!

I recently re-allocated the funds in my 401k. I was a financial advisor for about a year and passed the series 6 and 63. While I have basic knowledge on financial planning, I did not spend a lot of time on individual allocations. I was hoping to get a sanity check here on my funds and make sure my logic is sound. Not asking for investment advice as I know there are legal implications with that. Just looking for a sanity check and anything I should maybe do more research on.

I am a 34 year old male who makes 100k per year. I am moderately risk seeking.

    Allocations:

    Fidelity 500 index 64%

American funds new world r6 (emerge markets) 8%

    Fidelity mid cap index 8%

    Fidelity small cap index 7%

    Fidelity u.s. sustainability index 7%

American funds new perspective (global trade) 6%

    Any new perspective is appreciated!

    Looking for help with 401k

There’s no legal implications for giving investment advice haha. Its not legal advice. Its just friendly online advice, and non of us are running a business or getting paid to help.

Thats too many funds. I like total market, but most 401ks don’t have that, so sp500 it is.
American funds new world r6 is ok to give you some international exposure.
      The rest are uneeded.

You can also just do a TDF if you don’t want to be so active.

Stick to Fidelity 500 index for stocks, if there is no total stock market index fund available. At your age you should be in stocks 100%. But if it helps you sleep better, add some broad market bonds 10-15 % max.

LOL this sub is to get investment/financial advice. Always get professional help for your own situation. Disclaimer: I’m not a lawyer or financial advisor 🙂
