DP: 6 Amex CCs is Possible

Long story short, I YOLO’d an Amex app for a Delta Business Gold card when booking a flight (Delta’s website injected an Amex page application within its own checkout process when I checked the box to apply).

Much to my surprise, not only was I not PUJ’d but I was approved.

Prior to applying, I had the:

BCP (2013, backdated to 1993)

Platinum (2022)

Marriott Biz (2023)

Marriott Brilliant (Feb 2025)

Amazon Prime Biz (Oct 2025)

Hilton Aspire (Jan 2026)

I know the Plat doesn’t count towards the “5 credit card cap” as it is a charge card, but I totally had 5 credit cards before my Delta Business Gold approval.

Now I wait for the Amazon card to move to US Bank so I can try for another Delta card to get that sweet MQD head-start.
