im 35 years old . never had a credit card. im ready to build what i can for my future. ive heard to go to a credit union. any advice and suggestions

I’ve been in a similar situation. Discover IT was my first card, like a lot of others. If you can’t get a “regular” credit card, then you can at least get a secured one. You can actually build a ~700 credit score in a year or so.
