I know that no one can predict the future. But this question is worth asking. I have the bulk of my portfolio in VOO and the biggest tech stocks. I also do have a good amount in VXUS.
I see so many opinions online from people urging people to change their investment strategies, and not rely so heavily on the U.S. companies anymore.
I am not saying that the U.S. empire will collapse. I am saying that there is a possibility that the U.S. market will not grow as rapidly in the future as it did in the past.
Really considering rotating a lot of my assets into foreign equities, and mainly gold.
Should we expect the same growth from U.S. equities?

You’re like 18 months late.
The answer is no and it’s not too late.
The US has massively outperformed international over the last 10 years, so we should expect lower returns going forward, but that doesn’t necessarily mean we’ll see lower returns.
Buy a global ETF and you won’t have to worry about which country is performing the best.

“Reply hazy, try again”
🤣
In my view – the main economic development will come from AI in the next 10 years. Who is leading on that front? The US.
Look at the datacenter buildout in the US vs China, they just can’t catch up.
Don’t expect anything, hope that helps
Just buy a global, market weighted ETF like VT and call it good. It’ll do all the necessary rebalancing for you if US starts to be less dominant
