So I’ve looked everywhere but haven’t found an answer. Maybe I haven’t looked in the right places. So I’m a neophyte to mining, I have a hydro miner from nerdax but cannot find full info when looking for pools.

I have plenty of pool addresses but then I do not have the port # or password (though I know it’s usually “x” for “none”).

I’m looking to figure out how i find the port #. My miner simply doesn’t hash.

And does my username (btc address) have to begin with bc1g. Or bc1g ? With a period or a space, or without?

Any free or low charge pools with info yall want to share?

    1. Are you solo mining? To win a block in 10,000 years and make a few thousand dollars

Or do you want to mine in a pool, earn a few Sats per day from pool shares?

If you’re solo mining, the pool isn’t a pool. It’s providing the other half of a pool’s service – constructing a candidate block using transactions from the pool’s Bitcoin node’s mempool. It doesn’t matter what your username is

Minor correction: BTC addresses start with bc1q not bc1g (queue, not gee)

If you’re pool mining, follow the instructions at the pool’s Web site
Kano pool has automatic share difficulty calculation, accepts low hashrate miners, and has low fees
