I’m looking to invest €1,000, or maybe even a little more, into NBIS and hold for at least 2 years. Given their massive pivot into AI infrastructure and Tier-1 status with Nvidia, I'm trying to decide if this is a smart long-term move or if I should let it go. I’m prepared for volatility, but I’d love to hear your thoughts on their scaling potential.

Is NBIS (Nebius Group) a solid long term "buy and hold"?

    1. The thesis isn’t unreasonable especially with the Nvidia partnership and strong AI infrastructure tailwinds. But keep in mind NBIS has already had a huge run, and a lot of future growth may be priced in. It’s also still in a heavy investment phase and not yet consistently profitable, so volatility can be significant .

In short: strong long term story, but not cheap this is more of a high risk, high upside play where position sizing matters more than conviction alone.

    2. They have an offering that’s triggered at I think 170-180$. Last time it reached an offering price target it absolutely tanked. Think there will be a pullback but when it does it’s 100% worth investing in. AI is here to stay and is the future, whether people like it or not

Of course, 500 shares here at avg 76 and not selling or trimming until it touch 1000 in 3-5 years

    4. You want to buy an unprofitable tech company with $4.5 billion of debt that has a very real risk of technological obsolescence as its chips age *after* it made a 300% run up?

I mean its your money in the casino but surely you can find something with more upside at this point. I say this as someone who bought it at 32 and dumped it last week, the upside potential just isn’t there at this point compared to a lot of other data center plays.
