I'm not sure I'm a believer in "it'll go up because it is scarce", like to know thoughts on this out there.

It is scarce.. That’s technical fact. it’s upto adoption. If adoption continues value goes up..

    2. It’s a man made scarcity and not absolute scarcity like the number of planets in the solar system for example

It can be changed if necessary and it’s no more scarce than any other similar coin like Bitcoin cash , Z cash, Dash, Bitcoin SV etc etc and yet it’s obvious that those coins 22 million scarcity have not caused their prices to increase

It’s a marketing trick for dumb sheep to follow so the ones that bought before can profit from and nothing more

Yes, it’s over hyped. Yes, the total number of Bitcoin is limited, but each can be parsed down to one-millionth in size. So your actual quantity is 21 million million, or 21×10^12 Satoshi. Comparatively, the there is 15×10^13 USD. While Bitcoin is slightly more scarce than USD, is not dramatically so.

From another perspective, land is also limited. However, not all land has significant current value – it only has value if it’s usable. Same with Bitcoin – if it doesn’t quickly find some actual broad use, the value will always be limited.
