I’ve been seeing more ads and recommendations for online investment advisors lately and I’m wondering if they actually work for regular people.

I’m in my early 30s, have some savings sitting in a high yield account, and I know I should be investing more consistently instead of just letting it sit. I don’t have a huge portfolio and I’m not super confident picking stocks on my own, so the idea of something automated or guided sounds appealing. At the same time, I’m a little skeptical about fees, performance, and whether it’s really better than just using basic index funds.

I’ve tried doing some DIY investing with ETFs but I always second guess my decisions and end up not sticking to a plan.

Has anyone here used an online investment advisor and actually seen solid results over time? Would you recommend it or is it better to just keep things simple and manage it yourself?

Has anyone here actually had good results using an online investment advisor in 2026?
