Hey everyone, looking for some insight. I’ve been a Chase banking customer for a while and currently hold the Freedom Unlimited (CFU).

I was recently approved for the Chase Sapphire Preferred (CSP). A few days later, I applied for the United Explorer and got denied.

    My stats:

    • Credit Score: 739 (FICO)

    • Utilization: 10%

    • Inquiries: 2

    • Debt/Collections: None.

    • Chase History: Long-time banking customer + Freedom Unlimited (existing) + New CSP.

Has anyone with multiple Chase cards successfully reconned a third card shortly after a second?

Denied for United Card after CSP approval (Already have CFU + Chase Banking) – Advice?

So basically you don’t want to apply for multiple cards a few days apart. Especially at the same bank– its a big risk sign for them (basically they think you may run up the cards.) Chase has a 5/24 rule as well which means they won’t approve you if you have opened 5 cards in the last 24 months
