I was rear ended in Portland Oregon, so far there was commitment that the other party was 100% at fault but I have video recording just in case.
Damage to the bumper is pretty bad but it doesn't seem to extend beyond that. My car was brand new and had less than 700 miles on it when the accident occurred.
Their insurance is geico and has so far issued me a check for ~$700 just to get the first check issued within the 5 day legal limit (they said that).
I'm looking for help understand what compensation is available, especially when it comes to diminishing value. I received severe whiplash. The car was worth about $45,000 when I bought it less than a month ago. Let me know what other information would be helpful

The vehicle has to be fully repaired before you can even think of DV.
