I opened a Venture mastercard 363 days ago for the SUB. Now I would like to downgrade it to Savor.

In my app, I see an offer to downgrade to the Savor. If I accept this offer, am I risking SUB clawback because it has been less than a year?

If wait 2-3 days so that it has been a full year (hoping that the offer stays in my app), will they attempt to charge me the annual fee? I've heard concerning DPs that C1 doesn't always refund the AF for product changes.

Would love to hear from people who have PCed their Venture to Savor before and after the 1 year mark.

Any issues with Venture PC before 1 year?

    1. Generally with credit cards, PC after the first year and nearly all of them will refund the annual fee if you cancel/PC within 30 days of the annual fee

If you’re being offered the downgrade, you’re unlikely to have issues. C1 does not historically clawback.

FWIW, annual fees are not charged on the exact date of the card anniversary — it often takes anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, so if you’d like to be safe, there’s a window in which you are past day 366 but have not yet been charged the AF.
