I just received a payment of over $500 from a random payroll company. I do just switch jobs however I haven’t even finished the first week at my new job yet so it definitely can’t be from them. Part of me would love a random $500 showing up but the other part would be too paranoid to touch it. Did you check if your new job uses a third party payroll processor? A lot of companies outsource payroll so it might actually be legit
Don’t touch it and definitely don’t spend it. Likely a bank error that will be corrected.
