I'll need time to read it all but one big change..not a good one. While counts for IBR..icr and paye will count for rap forgiveness. Rap payments won't count towards the others. So the strategy of getting on the rap for the interest subsidy and then switching back to ibr at the end for shorter forgiveness is out the window.

We can thank whomever submitted a comment to the feds that what they had originally on this was unlawful.

No changes to the definition of professional degrees..so they didn't expand that

I'll update the rest by tomorrow so please hold off on your questions for now

    1. Wow, I hope whoever felt the need to submit a comment asking for a rule that borrowers must recertify income immediately any time their income changes steps on all the Legos

I do want to thank Biden for his work with the SAVE plan. I don’t think we get RAP (not perfect but a decent plan for millions) without SAVE. The SAVE plan is obviously better, but RAP should still give people hope. Had Biden not made efforts towards student loan forgiveness attempts, Trump just leaves it the way it was.

RAP isn’t horrible and it could’ve been worse. I still wish we had SAVE, but we have to take what we get, and it could have been worse.
