I just ran my budget and realized I'm spending $800 per month on groceries. I live alone. No family.

I cook at home most nights. I shop at Whole Foods and buy organic produce, free-range eggs, grass fed meat.

    I know I'm overspending. I've tried:

    • Making a list before shopping
    • Not shopping when hungry
    • Eating leftovers for lunch

    Still spending too much.

For people who lowered their grocery bill from a similar amount ……what specific changes made the biggest difference? store changes? meal planning? buying in bulk?

I spend $800/month on groceries for one person. Need practical advice.

Limiting it to one thing outside of cooking myself, it’d be not buying meat
