Hello , I got my first credit card about 3-4 years ago with the discover it student card and then I got the Amex blue everyday card about a year later. So i’ve had both for 2+ years. I love these but my main spending has turned out to be dining, and I feel like i’m missing out on rewards. Would Citi custom cash be a good one for me? I’m afraid of some things I read about merchant codes being kinda funky with that card and possibly missing out on the 5%. I don’t buy groceries just yet so I don’t need a card for that. I honestly just do dining, gas, and entertainment with some of my subscriptions. Savor one sounded good but it’s just 3% . Any recommendations other than the two i mentioned?

Is Citi Customer Cash back a good dining card?

      Yeah it’s a great dining card, it’s 5% for $500 a month. I usually don’t spend $500 eating out

It’s fine as long as you don’t plan on brushing up against the $500 cap. I assume this would be an issue if it’s your main spend area.

There are much better options that offer 3-4% uncapped earning in dining, even for no annual fee.

Frankly, the Savor uncapped at 3% is probably more desirable for most than a very low cap on 5%. Unless you have several Custom Cash cards.

Just have to do the math to see what works out best for your spend level.
