Not exactly sure what to do.. It must’ve been my father’s wallet since he gave me this laptop when I was young. I was trying to extract some old RuneScape info and came across a program called Bitcoin Core. I’m not sure where to even start. Not answering any messages, but what’s the best way to move them without messing anything up? I’m already nervous since the laptop has no battery life and I get errors when I boot it on.

You need to search the computer for a file named wallet.dat. That is the file that can be read by Bitcoin Core. If you happen to find it, make a copy of the file (maybe multiple copies) & work on the copy. Leave the original alone to prevent it from getting corrupted with your tinkering.
When the software was first set up, the software would have given your father the option to password protect that file. If he did, and you can’t get that password, you’re probably out of luck.
There’s obviously more to it but rather than write out a long post I’ll recommend doing your own research on the next steps.
