Been using both the Amex Platinum and CSR for a few years now. I now finally got approved for the Venture X as well after Capital One refused to preapprove me for years due to "too many accounts" regardless of how many recent inquires I've had or how good my credit score was.

Am I crazy for wanting to keep all three open or should I downgrade one of them after I'm done with the signup bonus on the Venture X?

I should be able to come out ahead with all the credits and value I'm getting but ngl keeping track of these coupon books (never mind my Amex Gold, Delta Gold and United Explorer cards) is starting to get really annoying haha.

Currently using the 3 premium card trifecta

If you’re able to come out ahead then by all means keep them open. Personally in your shoes I would close the CSR.

They surprisingly go together pretty well – Amex plat for credits/benefits, CSR for dining and direct flight/hotel bookings, and VX for catch all. I also have all 3 (along with Citi SE and WF AJ) and am planning to cancel the plat first and then the CSR

Plat requires the most effort to micromanage IMO and has the least uses for daily spending, but it also has the most potential to come out ahead for credits/benefits vs AF

CSR is a mixed bag due to upcoming Hyatt deval, constant fluctuating point boost feature, etc. but the multipliers are pretty good and credits/benefits solid if it works for your lifestyle

VX is just the easiest to breakeven and to incorporate into your daily spending
