I had been a subscriber of Mi2 retail service called MacroCapture for the last year. I very much enjoyed this newletter service. It was obviously macro focused, but they made actionable recommendations which I very much enjoyed.

They recently stopped their retail-oriented service (I assume because it wasn't worth their time compared to their non retail clients) and I am looking for a new service. There are so many out there and it is a little overhwhelming.

I originally picked MacroCapture because I had been listening to their founder (Julian Brigden) for years on the podcast circuit. Probably a silly reason to pay someone but his rationale always made sense to me.

    My goals are twofold:

    • I like hearing high-level, long term macro recommendations to slightly alter my larger portfolio. I'm not going all in on gold because a newletter likes it, but for example: Mi2 has been painting the narrative that the "rest of the world" is going to have its time compared to American equities. They have recommended emerging markets and this has gone very well for me in the last year. Again, I am not trying to go all in on anything, but tilting my large retirement portfolio slightly towards EM has paid off.
    • I like hearing occasional, specific, actionable calls. MacroCapture was good at this. Not a ton of picks. Maybe a few per quarter. But they always came with rationale as well as targets/stops. I do enjoy scratching my degenerate itch with a few call option purchases every year. And I made a tremendous amount of money buying SLV call options in the late summer of 2025 that expired in December. Mi2 didn't recommend calls, however their target was high and OTM options were so cheap that I couldn't help myself.

I am probably writing too much but if anyone actually read this and has experience with a service they like, I would love to hear it.

Experience with newsletters and advice services? I need a new one since MacroCapture went away.

Its tough when a service you trust like MacroCapture disappears, but there are definitely other pros who can help you spot those big global shifts. ive used trylattice to filter through the noise, and Lyn Alden or Macro Ops are great for sticking to that rest of the world theme while giving you those occasional, high conviction trade ideas.
