Just saw the Spiegel report yesterday that german officials have apparently finalized a plan to abolish "§23 EStG" — the 1-year holding period that's been the foundation of how everyone I know thinks about their stack. Cabinet vote expected within days. Effective from the next tax year.

Not the whole EU for sure. In Czech Republic they just recently created something similar the Germany had. No tax after 3 year HODL and spending (I don’t know the exact number but I believe it’s quite big) per transaction no need to even report.
