Is it normal for lawyers to stop treatment due to low property damage? I have not finish my treatments yet and needing radiofrequency ablation after I did diagnostic mbb to prove my facet injury. I also had unknown arthritis in my neck only found out because of MRI, I have been off work for 6 months now. After getting a positive mbb I was hoping to continue the RFA procedure so I can go back to my work, but thats when my lawyer stop all the treatment because I have rack up 100k in medical bills (I also did neck epidural it lasted 1x day, PT, Chiro,Neurologist,PCP) already plus lost wages $12k give or take. He said he will include it all for future medical bills but no guaranteed they will pay for it. Mind you I was perfectly healthy and working and no medical complaint in my neck and now I can’t work and has to take some pain killers and arthritis medication every night. Also my lawyer said base on my medical bills my case value is $200k plus lost wages and future medical bills. The guy who hit me was a commercial truck so policy limit is 1million(I know im not getting this okay, just giving more info) I drive a compact car which I think when he hit me all the impact was absorbed to my body, he hit my right side passenger i was the driver no other passengers in my car
Any adjusters here? How would you guys deal if the person has not even finish treatment yet? What would be reasonable settlement for my case? and would your insurance pay for radiofrequency ablation base on positive diagnostic mbb but low propert damage?

I think your attorney sees getting $100k in meds covered for a minor impact loss is going to be an uphill battle. Especially with an MRI showing pre-existing conditions (arthritis.) They want you to stop now in the hopes it will all be considered. Modern vehicles are designed with several impact bars that absorb the impact. Sounds like your attorney saw dollar signs with a commercial policy and now sees those damages, and has maybe been sent notices from insurance they believe this is low velocity so he’s telling you to stop treating.
