i’m based in texas i have a ugly driving record with several accidents as i used to drive hundreds of miles for work for my old job. right now for a 2024 f150 stx i pay about a thousand a month. im not sure if i should sell my truck and get some thing older or if there is company i can just pay the legal minimum. the vehicle is also financed and i pay double my car payment just for insurance. if anyone can provide some advice or direction i would appreciate it.

Newer model, financed…. you know
The first question I’d ask is, “Do you need a pickup trick?” You said you traveled a lot for work. Obviously if you need the utility and space of a pickup this is non-starter but if not you can always get a smaller, cheaper to insure car. Sedans are pretty darn cheap, and if you still want/need some room there are always hatchbacks.
