recently i was crossing the street and was hit by a car. it was totally my fault. i just got scraped a bit and probably a bruise will show up soon; otherwise i don't think there will be any injuries requiring a hospital visit. i also don't think the car was damaged at all, as it was a rather large and sturdy car. i don't know for sure, though, since i didn't get a good look at it after the accident.

we called 911 and the police came. i told them what happened. we didn't exchange information with the driver but i assume because of the police report, if they need our information then they can get it and vice versa.

because it was my fault and there are (hopefully) no bills involved, i'm not interested in going after the driver. but are they likely to try to go after me, especially if there ends up being no damage to their car? i'd really love it if we could all just let it go. is that realistic or will this definitely escalate? (not very familiar with how all this works, if it wasn't already obvious.)

i was a pedestrian at fault in a minor car accident: what to expect?

I really doubt they would go after you. At least I wouldn’t unless you put a dent in my car.

      Glad you’re good though.
