Hello, I live in Ontario Canada. I got dental work done in 2019 and my insurance always covers it. I assume there was a mistake with it and it didn’t cover the bill. I had no knowledge about this and never received a notice to pay my bill. Now I am getting a letter from the collection agency stating I owe almost $1800 in just interest. What I don’t understand is I have been to the dentist after 2019 and this bill was never brought up at all. What are my options now because if I had known I would have payed out of pocket consider my insurance always reimburse me.

Call the dentist and see if this is legit. Ask them why it never turned up in the past visits.
Sounds like it could be a scam.
Validate it first. Avoid paying it until it gets verified. It could be a scam
