if fine for breaking the law is less than you earned from the illegal activity, there’s no incentive to follow the law

Makes sense. When I robbed that jewelry store for 150 diamonds my sentence was to return one diamond.

    3. 150m is such a drop in the bucket. He’s already forgotten about this fraud and on to the next trillion.

      Position: $32k in Tesla.

If you make 150 million , and you only pay a fine of 1.5 million , that’s just an expense.

Just a reminder that fines are not punishment they are just how much it costs to do a thing.

If the penalty for a crime is a fine, then that law only exists for the lower class

Seems like the precedent is that if I steal $100 the “consequence” should be a $1 fine

    10. Would you speed to get a $120 fine if it meant you got $12,000?

Would you pay a $2,000 fine to park a billboard in Times Square for $200,000 in sales?

I say find some loopholes and have a time!
