I’m set to start an online MS program at Northeastern University this May and might consider switching to the on campus modality for the same degree. Would that disqualify me from being eligible for Grad PLUS loans? To be clear; I would be in the same school, same degree just going from on campus to off campus. They are listed as separate options in the colleges listings but I don’t know how they are represented “internally”. Anyone know anything about this?

Grad PLUS grandfathering if I switch from online to on-campus.

Your loan eligibility should stay the same since it’s same degree at same school – the delivery method doesn’t usually matter for federal loans. I’d double check with their financial aid office though because some schools have weird internal coding that might flag it as a “transfer” even when it’s not really one
