Not sure if it’s the proper place. But i started saving recently and i am looking for some insight. I cannot see into my future but i am wondering if you guys feel like it paid off so far considering the stuff happening everywhere in the world right now.
For the people that have been investing for a bit now, do you feel more secure financially?

1000 precent yes feel more financial secure. But also that could be because I also have saved 6 months plus in emergency funds
more money/less debt = more financial security.
Yes. I wouldn’t be able to afford my planned retirement expenses without having invested.

Yes. Duh. By investing for 35 years I could join the FIRE crowd if I wanted.
The world is scary. Maybe do a mix of equity and fixed income according to your risk tolerance.
Yes, I am isolated from most financial strains or potential disasters. I feel way more secure.
