Hey all, I’m downgrading my CSP to get ready to apply for the CSR to get the new SUB. I don’t really see a point in keeping the CSP and its annual fee, so I was reading about how everyone says to switch to the Freedom Original or Classic Freedom for the Visa and Costco benefits.
However, I value the Freedom Unlimited because I would rather get 1.5 back on all other purchases more than I would use this card at Costco or the 5% rotation categories/maxing out the $3000 5% limit. I’m only doubting myself because there is barely anyone advocating to downgrade to the Unlimited so I just want to make sure if this the right choice for me or if I’m missing anything about this OG Freedom. Thanks all!
Change my mind, I’m thinking about going against the grain and downgrading my CSP to Freedom Unlimited instead of the OG Freedom.

That’s the only option customer service gave me when I called, to downgrade to a freedom unlimited
The OG Freedom is the preferred card to downgrade to since you can apply and earn a SUB for the CFU, but cannot earn a SUB for the OG Freedom. But there’s nothing wrong with deciding that the CFU isn’t worth wasting an HP and x/24 slot
A large number of the CSP users from this sub probably already had the CFU at the time they were downgrading. Its likely they had it paired with their sapphire card to convert cash back to UR points.
