I’m looking to get a new credit card for travel purposes. I’m newly engaged and want to put wedding expenses on the card so we can ultimately end up having enough flight miles for the honeymoon (as I’ve seen a lot of people do). But I don’t know if I want to go with Chase or Capital One.

I already have the Capital One Platinum card that I’ve had for a couple years, and it’s my only credit card. I have about a 730 credit score (recently went down after I had to buy a new car).

The only thing I care about is the flight miles. Whatever is going to get me the most bang for my buck, ya know??

Capital One Venture vs Chase Sapphire Preferred??

This will depend on which airlines you intend to fly with, or if no plans yet at least what airlines dominate your nearest airport. For the same 75,000 points initial sign-up bonus between the two, many would say Chase has the stronger set of transfer partners. But obv that means nothing if you don’t fly with any of Chase’s partnering airlines
