SAVE deferment is ending next month. Submitted information for income driven repayment through Dept of Education a few weeks ago. Estimated payments were $1038 per month. Received letters from Aidvantage that payments of $230 will start in June. Great, but starting in 07/27 they want $1600? I don’t understand any of it!?

Similar for me, with Aidvantage.
Their automated letters do not match, and are greatly smaller, than the bills I receive from them for the new income driven plan (ICR for me).
The disparity isn’t that large for me as what you’re facing.
I’d search this forum for “Aidvantage” and see who else in the same boat and then set aside some time for a phone call with Aidvantage, documenting the entire conversation.
I don’t know what’s going on, haven’t invested the time to find out. I just can validate your concern with the discrepancy. You’re not alone.
$230 is your payment for the next year. Then you had to recertify your income to get your new payments for the following 12 months (starting 7/27). The payment they are showing you for 2027 would be the standard repayment plan payment if you don’t recertify your income.
