I'm with TD Insurance (full coverage, grand touring) and my car is now considered a total loss. They are saying after a settlement amount is offered they have a 3-day period i can have a rental and that's it.
Is this normal and is it legal? This 3-day limit is not mentioned anywhere in my policy

This is normal. It’s legal. Very standard. You don’t get a rental for some indefinite period after it’s a total loss.
The duration of the rental car sounds fairly normal. It is what we offered when I was handling claims many years ago. You might be able to get an extension of a couple more days.
can get it extended up too a week if you want to fight them but thats about it.. get shopping
