I’ve been noticing a pattern and it’s starting to mess with my head a bit.

Almost every time I enter a trade, price first moves against me — sometimes just enough to hit my stop or make me doubt the position — and only after that it goes in the original direction I expected.

At first I thought it’s just bad entries, but it happens way too consistently.

    Is this just:

    poor timing on my side

    entering where everyone else enters

or is this actually how liquidity works (taking stops before the move)?

Curious how more experienced traders look at this.

Why does the market feel “designed” to take you out before moving your way?

    1. I’m starting to think it’s mostly about entering where liquidity is obvious, but not sure if I’m just overthinking it.
