I have come in to possession of several pizza pies left over after a work event. What is the best way to preserve, reheat and enjoy? I could probably get rid of them all if I had pizza three times a day for the next three daysโ€”- but I am thinking longer-term. But I like pizza and if I could use it to substitute a few meals over the next week that would be great. Not sure if many people do this, but I could even have my own toppings before reheating.

Freeze. Reheat in a wok. No oil.

There is enough oil in the base to get it going again.

      Don’t microwave

We make it and then freeze left over slices. Preheat the oven to 425 and let it bake until itโ€™s done and itโ€™s good as fresh.

Have you heard of this crazy new invention frozen pizza? You can heat it in a microwave or oven. Crazy no?

Wrap in plastic wrap and freeze. Thaw/heat in microwave, then crisp it up in an air fryer or toaster oven.

Is there something stoping you from freezing the pizza? Feel like Iโ€™m missing something in your question.

I heat it in the oven like 350 ish until the cheese is melting. I have friends who swear by the French toast method (dip slice in egg, cook in pan) and I thought it was alright but I personally still prefer oven.

To store it, I separate it into slices, stack slices in large ziploc bags with wax paper / paper plates in between the layers, then into the freezer.

Put in the Freezer – wrap slices individually (foil or plastic wrap) + put in a freezer bag

Let it sit out 10โ€“20 mins or microwave 30โ€“60 seconds just to defrost then use stovetop.

      Stovetop –
Medium heat, slice in a pan for 2โ€“3 mins โ†’ add a few drops of water to the pan (not on pizza ๐Ÿ•… haha) โ†’ cover with lid for ~1 min

    9. Pan, small bit of oil throw the piece crust down . Small bit of water and cover with lid the steam will remelt cheese.

Place slice in a large pan and place over medium heat to crisp the bottom. Then sprinkle a few drops of water in the pan (not on the slice) and cover with a lid.

If you have an air fryer, pizza reheated in that sometimes tastes better than fresh.

wrap it in plastic and freeze it. The evening before you want to eat it, put it in the fridge to thaw. Zap it in the microwave until it’s hot, then toss it in a hot frying pan to crisp up the bottom.

Put a serving of pizza, so 2 or 4 slices face to face, stacked like cake, wrap in parchment or wax paper then plastic wrap and freeze. You can toaster oven, nuke or air fry them to warm them up, in the paper or out.

In a dry, covered pan on high heat, place a few slices and some water (not touching slices). Water boils and the steam melts the cheese and rehydrates the slice a bit. Ends up with crispy bottom and melty cheese.

I freeze leftover pizza all the time in baggies. Then rehaeat a piece or two at a time in the oven, air fryer, microwave, etc.ย
