Do red light camera tickets from Philly count on your driving record for insurance? From my research online it appears it’s classified as civil and not a moving violation but was hoping others might be more knowledgeable

I am an NJ resident who was driving in Philly.

I do not make any excuses for it, it was an accident but it’s my fault and accept responsibility.

Others probably more knowledgeable than me but this is in PA legislation. This basically says not reported . Just pay this, be better and move on. No insurance impact ( my interpretation)

      (4) A penalty imposed under this section shall not be deemed a criminal conviction and shall not be made part of the operating record under section 1535 (relating to schedule of convictions and points) of the individual upon whom the penalty is imposed, nor may the imposition of the penalty be subject to merit rating for insurance purposes.
