I know this is a long shot, and apologies if this is out of place. and I am aware of Budget Bytes, but I was wondering if there was a place or somewhere you all have found culinary inspiration online from the depression era/ WWII to invent new ways of stretching my food budget. Part of the reason is that reminds me of talking to my grandmother ans some of her cooking, and I have also seen some videos from Kiki Rough that has inspired this line or thought, and figure it might make experimenting enjoyable too. There are some books on eBay but really trying not drop any money if I can. Or if anyone has any favorites to share, that would be cool too.
Weird frugal request: Is there an online depository of Depression/WWII ration era recipes?

Youtube is where I’ve found the most Depression Era recipes. But I have to write them all down myself typcially (im okay with that)
Check Archive.org.
There are probably a bunch of cookbooks available from that time.
This isn’t quite what you’re looking for, but r/Old_Recipes has some great stuff and If I recall some folks there might have resources like that.
Check out r/oldrecipes. If you search a few keywords in that sub I bet you’ll find quite a few.

You could browse the cookbooks and home economics collection in the internet archive.

The More-With-Less Cookbook isn’t depression era but it had to have been strongly influenced by it. It’s a classic. [https://archive.org/details/more-with-less-cookbook](https://archive.org/details/more-with-less-cookbook)
Not exclusively economic, but this is an interesting collection of archived recipes and cookbooks from NS. There is at least one set of recipes for wartime. https://archives.novascotia.ca/cooking/
Not solely depression era cookbooks, but Michigan State University has a digital archive of a ton of old and older cookbooks https://d.lib.msu.edu/fa
See if you can get them from the library. My dad’s favorite meal was buttermilk and cornbread.
Google it.
