Hey yall, I have about 30K worth of vested INTC RSUs. I’ve held for about 5 years now and it’s getting to the point where it’s a sizeable amount that I’d rather not risk still being at INTC. If you were me would you continue holding or take the profits and invest in something else? If something else, what are the next options to buy in besides the usual put it into an ETF and not thinking about it?

30K of INTC hold or sell?

From my good friend who worked at Intel up until last month: “Idk it’s mainly hype and rumors, but Intel did get Tesla as a customer and terafab so that’s decent, but it’s a lot of pressure to deliver which I don’t think they will do cause their chip production yield is so low on 18A rn… Also for Q1 they “smashed” expectations but in reality they just guided super low and beat low setting lmao…. Yeah TSMC is so much better but the problem is they are all booked out years in advance so that’s why some companies esp Tesla are going w Intel, they know they gonna have to spend a lot of money making the chips since they’re gonna have failures and bad yield but they’d rather do that then wait for an opening from TSMC”

My own 2c: when tech stocks run parabolic, it wouldn’t be unwise to offload some shared to de-risk your net worth, especially if you don’t believe in the company long-term

Would you buy INTC if you had 30k to invest right now? My Intel friends always said they sell RSUs immediately because the stock price is so unstable. It isn’t worth the headache.

    3. Parabolas go up and down. This parabola could still have some gas in it, but it will with 100% certainty eventually catch the downward half.

Get some cash out! It may go up but it can’t continue this. This is hype and FOMO.

    5. Sell half and buy 60% VOO and 40% QQQM

If intel corrects you can sell QQQM and re enter
