- * Estimate average monthly spend in the categories below. Only include what you can pay by credit card.

PURPOSE
- * What's the purpose of your next card ?:
- Travel Rewards. I am currently traveling and will continue to do so for another year. Looking for a travel card that I can use to gain some points to use for flight redemptions. I do not have a preference on airlines. Even though the Amex Gold is good for this, I am thinking of getting the Amex Everyday to maintain my MR points and cancelling the Gold because I can't really use the Uber and Grubhub credit while abroad. I am looking into possibly getting another travel card in addition to my Venture X as a fallback and maybe also churn a little and get more points available for more flight redemptions.
- Looking at CSP and CSR, but I don't know if I can really apply the CSR hotel credits to my somewhat frugal hotel lifestyle. Maybe it can work for me though? I do like the big points they give me. CSP travel insurance looks good, but the scenario seems rare, and it feels like I'm actually paying for the card since the benefits don't make it break even like the Venture X does.
Which travel credit card should I get for 1 year travel?

your amex category issue abroad is super common – lots of merchants don’t code properly outside the US so you lose those bonus multipliers
CSR hotel credit is pretty flexible, works on most booking platforms and even some hostels if they’re booked through the right channels. with $700/month in accommodation you’d probably use it. the 3x on dining/travel would be solid for your spending pattern too
maybe look at the CSP as middle ground since you’re already skeptical about breaking even on annual fees while traveling
I see you have the venture x for 2x catchall, you might consider to add savor, lookfor mastercard version links, for the 3x food, groceries, entertainment, streaming, more accetpance then the amex gold abroad.
Otherwise
Atmos summit 3x all foreign spend
Bilt palladium 3x transferable points up to 25000
Robinhood gold 3x cashback
Flights/hotel csr 4x hotel 4x flight(amex plat 5x flights) direct. If booking flights through ota like expedia, usually you will get charged directly by the airline and not expedia so youll get the 4x-5x hotels no. Can get MS plat flavor for free authorized user if necesareiy and to be able to cashout at 1c.
Maybe wells fargo autograph journey, 5x airlines, 4x hotels, 3x other travel and restaraunts. They have been slowly adding more transfer partners.
Also can get cs/fidelity debit card for no atm fees worldwide
