Hey everyone, I'm looking for recommendations for a tax advisor (preferably a solo practitioner or small online firm) for a one-off consultation.

    Setup:

Online language teacher on an international platform, freelance, very low income (currently less than €5,000/year)

Currently still registered in Germany (parents' address), but living primarily in Thailand since the beginning of the year

Planning to deregister in Germany this summer and then apply for a Destination Tourism Visa (DTV) for Thailand → Tax Residency in Thailand for >180 days

Not yet officially registered as a freelancer anywhere

    What I need to clarify:

Transition year 2026: How should the half-year income from my German residency period be treated correctly for tax purposes?

Double Taxation Agreement Germany-Thailand: Can the tie-breaker be argued in favor of Thailand (actual center of life)?

DAC7 platform notification will be sent to the tax office in 2027 — how should I handle this?

Is an initial consultation (pursuant to Section 21 of the German Tax Advisor Fee Ordinance) sufficient for my case, or do I need a full 2026 income tax return including Schedule AUS?

    What I don't need:

A large firm with an hourly rate of €300+

Exit tax specialists for business assets

    An ongoing client relationship

Does anyone have personal experience with an advisor who handled this specific mini-expat case effectively? Online consultation is a must; in-person meetings are not possible. Thanks in advance!
