Of course, no one can predict the future, but do you think the best option is to use up all my UR points before dowgrade, or just save them for the future and pool them with my SUB points I get whenever I get my next Sapphire card?

I know Hyatt gets nerfed soon, I just wonder if they will add anything else in the future that may be worth saving for.

I have nothing to redeem them for. I could probably force plan a vacation a year from now if I really wanted to, but not sure yet.

About to downgrade my CSP to a Freedom with Ultimate Rewards, is it safe to hold on to my points until my next Sapphire?

Speculative transfers are a bad idea due to devaluations. If you have no planned trips in mind, your best bet may just be to cash out.

You could also always upgrade back to a CSP if you need to transfer.

Your points aren’t going to go anywhere if you downgrade, I wouldn’t force it.

However, are you sure you’d get another Sapphire SUB? Or do you plan to get the CSR next?

My advice is to either cash out assuming you have a Chase checking/savings account or downgrade the card. You said in another comment you don’t have any travel planned for the next year so I wouldn’t force it.

Im fairly sure we’ll always be able to get a 1 CPP cash out or statement credit at worst. So if you don’t need the money right now it’s not a terrible idea just to hold the points on a no AF card til you’re ready to go on a trip.
