First, let me start by saying I have rarely posted on Reddit, so if I somehow do this incorrectly, I apologize. I’ll assume that the mods will remove it.
I have been looking for an additional credit card, and reading all of the opinions and recommendations online and from the subs. I have not seen this one mentioned so I was going to put up what it provides then get a few opinions from those who are more knowledgeable than myself.

Most county-specific CUs like this one aren’t going to get much attention on the internet. The card looks fine, though the fidelity 2% is better in most senses.

only benefit id say is free global entry. 1.5 is weak when you find plenty 2% cards out there. most small CU cards are usually not very competitive

I agree this card is just okay. The free TSA/GE credit is rare, but the card has nothing else interesting and no reason to take it over any 2% card that has no fees.

Although the no cash advance fees is interesting if you ever need that. Haven’t seen that before.

If I had this card it would be sock drawer for emergencies maybe.

Is it just 1.5% cash back? There are a lot of 2% credit cards, including ones from credit unions, with no AF and no FTF.

Is the APR genuinely 8% though? That seems extraordinarily low even by credit union standards. You normally never want to carry a balance on a card, and most people here would qualify for 0% intro APR cards anyways. But I’ve never seen a single digit CC APR

It’s an okay card. Suits needs if you want to stick with a credit union.

California based credit unions tend to have lower rates on cards in general. Usually 8-15%.
