College Student Looking For Premium Card

I am going to be a sophomore in college next year (19yo) and I am looking for a good premium, ideally travel credit card to get around August. I am planning a bigger trip with some buddies in about a year so having a travel credit card would be very handy, especially if I hit a nice sign on bonus. I expect to make about 1-2 trips a year so using travel credit won't be an issue, and I fly home from school occasionally as well. I currently have the CapitalOne Savor (had for over a year now) and the Discover Student Cashback. Ideally I was hoping to get a CapitalOne Venture X but I know it can be difficult to get for someone in my shoes. I was also looking at a Amex Gold because I will be buying groceries for myself next year and do a bunch of spending going out. What are your recommendations for someone like myself? Is it realistic to get a Venture X and what other cards should I keep in mind? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
