I am considering taking advantage of elevated bonus for Alaska Atmos Ascent card
Earn 80,000 bonus points and a $99 Companion Fare (plus taxes and fees from $23) after spending $4,000 or more on purchases within the first 120 days of opening your account. Additionally, receive a 50% flight discount code for a qualifying future flight after opening your new account
I pay about $2100 rent per month through BILT portal which pulls out money from my BoA checking account. Does it make sense to instead pay rent using the credit card and pay 3% transaction fee to acquire points?
Flying habits:
– located in Alaska hub (Seattle), always have option to take Alaska flight from SEA to SFO and other regions. Fly at least 3 times per year with a companion (+1) on this route
– International travel: at least 2 round trip tickets per year, mainly to South East Asia via Europe and Middle East.
Given this, would you recommend spending 3% extra (~$900) to acquire points?
Should I get Alaska Atmos Ascent card and pay rent with it?
