I have a friend that is visiting the USA from Europe for approximately 28 days. We're looking for a phone plan that he can use for the month that he's here. I have an old phone he can use but it needs a cheap and reliable prepaid plan for just that one month.

I keep looking at Walmart and various other stores but can't seem to find anything that would work for just a month without having to buy a new phone.

Any ideas on the best plan for this specific need? Thanks!

I have a friend visiting in a few months from Europe. What's a good prepay cell choice?

Does the phone he will be using support eSIM?

Have him sign up for one of the free eSIM trials when he gets here.

See r/FREEeSIM for a list of US network trials.

If the phone does NOT support eSIM you’ll be more limited in your options.

How old is the phone? If it has eSIM then go [Here](http://bestphoneplans.net) to compare plans and get what you’re looking for. If it can’t take a eSIM then go to any store that has prepaid plans like Cricket, Boost Mobile, MetroPCS etc.

Get a month of Boost Mobile or something.

Also consider: A. He may be able to purchase a temporary roaming package for his existing European plan, B. your US plan may have the option to get a free data-only sim that he can use for the duration.
