I received an email from Discover yesterday informing me that my Discover card will soon get an update in the benefits starting on July 27, 2026. That includes that my Discover it card would be managed from the Capital One app and website from that date on. It seems that Capital One is slowly fading away the Discover brand which make me believe that we might also see rebrand of the Discover network into the Capital One network at some point in the future. I hope we get extra benefits. I always had a positive experience with Discover. It’s sad to see it slowly going away.

Not some point in the future; it is already in the process
They are most likely moving their Discover IT card to have the rotating category card people have been wanting from Capital One.
They are moving their Quicksilver card to the Discover network with Savor, Venture One, and Venture card soon to follow.
They did not buy Discover for their name. They plan to use that network to recoup their money through interchange fees
I’m actually looking forward to this, I currently don’t have anything from Capitol One, and I think the migration of my Discover It will be my back door route into the Capital One ecosystem.
They just wanted the payment processing piece
I’m wondering how this will affect me. I have a Discover it card for the past 3 yrs but I think Capital One has me black listed.. Hopefully they don’t shut down my card cause my history with Discover has been superb.
